    Art on the Space Coast

    You could pop up to the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach to check out C-prints by Alfred Stieglitz, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, and Robert Rauschenberg. But if laid-back, alfresco art-gazing is more your thing, you can't beat the Space Coast Art Festival (spacecoastartfestival.com), which took over downtown Cocoa Beach this past weekend. Now in its 46th year, the two-day event turned North Brevard Avenue into a labyrinth of white tents (the cold tall cans of Kirin Ichiban make you forget how far you've walked).

    A Foxy Course

    While in North Florida for the Taste of the Beach food and wine festival earlier this month, I had the urge to play some golf. Locals suggested Shalimar Pointe (emeraldcoastgolftrail.com), which turned out to be a friendly course that the regulars couldn't stop boasting about-and a fox and troop of frisky fox squirrels call home.

So when I learned that the Reunion Resort (reunionresort.com) off I-4 at exit 58 was loosening its reins of exclusivity and opening its Eleven tapas lounge and Forte Grille to the public, I didn't hesitate to visit this meticulously landscaped golf community of luxury homes, condos and villas.
