Among my first thoughts upon seeing the JetLev in action — after “I want to do that!” — was to wonder how much reckless abandon I needed in order to strap a jet pack onto my back. Will it be hard to control? Will I fall into the water in an embarrassing splashdown? Will it be a rush akin to skydiving when I’m finally flying? What I found was a euphoric experience of flying with a pretty easy learning curve (about 10 minutes to get the hang of the controls) that doesn’t require being an adrenaline junkie to fully enjoy. The video below shot at Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key shows how it all works.
