On a recent getaway to the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, I awoke to a sparkling sunrise overlooking the Atlantic. I enjoyed a buttery croissant and latte in the Club Level Lounge and then headed off to the spa for my oxygen facial. This is the life!

The spa has a vibe that reverberates the following message: slow down and disconnect. It’s easy to do, especially when the first thing you experience is a subtle aroma of mango coming from the scented candles illuminating the interior. It’s the perfect sensory entry to this escape zone.

I was excited to learn that the Babor skincare line (from Germany) was going to be used for my anti-aging oxygen facial. I’m a big fan of oxygen facials, and every spa does it differently. Here, the facial consists of a cleanse to stimulate and activate the cells. It brightens the skin right away. Then, encapsulated oxygen is applied to stimulate the cells and further rejuvenate your skin. Following a massage to eliminate toxins and to energize, your skin breaths easier (it’s true!) and you depart feeling fully refreshed and renewed. I couldn’t help myself; I had to take home a package of Babor Fluids (Oxygen Energizing Fluid) for regeneration and Babor System Gold Sensational Eyes (eye cream). What can I say? I’m definitely a spa-ophile!
