Best Massage Ever at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

Just two miles from Disney World, past the massive pirate ship pool and up the elevator to the top floor of Lake Buena Vista Resort Village, the intimate Reflections Spa-Salon is every mom-on-a-family-holiday’s fantasy. Within minutes of handing the kids over to my hubby, I am neck deep in their Hydrating Island Bath with the lights low, candles burning and bubbles swirling Pure Fiji coconut milk all around me. With just the bubbles to keep me company, my brain has no choice but to switch off and by the end of the 30-minute session I’m in a perfect mindset for my Four Hands Massage.

Yes, that’s right – Four Hands. My two therapists spend the next hour performing a choreographed dance across my body. Their hands, at times deliciously in sync and other times moving wonderfully at random, worked my body into a state of total relaxation, so much that I completely lost track of their hands all together. If you’re like me and you’ve never experienced a four-hands massage before, it’s like the difference between watching one firework go off at a time and dozens going off at the finale – exponentially more intense. Before returning to real life, I used the sauna room, like the Island Bath, as a decompression chamber to bookend my experience.
