Soft music, flickering candles, fluffy white robes and a deep exhale–that’s what I found at Orlando’s newly opened Fresh Med Spas. Peaceful trees and birds adorn the robin egg-blue and white walls, creating a tranquil setting. Before my session, spa therapist Wendy helped me determine my needs. We discussed a possible regiment and she gave me tips on how to achieve my goals. For example, after my medical facial with Wendy, who was extremely gentle with my extractions, I learned that if I use a topical vitamin C serum before I apply my daily sunscreen, it amplifies the sunscreen’s effectiveness by 75 percent. The benefit of a medical spa is that they offer pharmaceutical- grade products and provide treatments you can’t find at a regular spa, such as their popular laser hair removal, tattoo removal and the wrinkle-reducing erbium resurfacing.
