FT+L's Weekend of Discovery
We had a blast at our very first Weekend of Discovery, held at the Jupiter Beach Resort (jupiterbeachresort.com). I really like the resort's rich traditional interior (think British Colonial/Tommy Bahama). This gem on the Atlantic coastline has a fabulous spa and Sinclairs, a wonderful gourmet dining spot. Our Weekend of Discovery room rate included a spa treatment, a wine-paired dinner and a Sunday jazz brunch. What a deal! The lounge was hopping thanks to the Neil Diamond-esque crooner who kept the crowd dancing. Besides our gathering, there were two wedding parties, so it was quite a happy place. The Weekend of Discovery brought together 30-plus Florida Travel + Life readers from around the state to share a couple days of fun in the sun with the FT+L editors. I was happy to join in the activities (including a visit to Jupiter's 150-year-old Inlet Lighthouse and Museum (jupiterlighthouse.org) and the amazing Loggerhead Marine Life Center (marinelife.org), where turtle rescue and recovery are the focus. I encourage everyone to visit both these venues. We're already planning our next Weekend of Discovery and will let you know the details soon. Hope you'll join us!

Thanks again to you and everyone at Florida Travel & Life for such a great weekend. FYI...as a direct result of our amazing tour of Loggerhead Marinelife Center, I signed up as a member of their Blue Friends program, and will be a weekly volunteer at that fabulous gift shop. Already looking forward to the next one!
