It's all happening at Velocity Cycling Studio (vcyclingstudio.com), located on the 500 block of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. It's the newest place to get fit while cycling indoors. From first-hand experience, the sweat is on. This isn't a typical "spinning" class. The wiry Fix is focused 100 percent on the ride with time trials, intervals and climbs. With honed skill, he makes it both fun and challenging. No clock watching here! He regales riders with tales of his hero Lance Armstrong. Ambitions of the yellow jersey, perhaps? Velocity's cycling workouts have already gained such a following that you have to reserve a bike ahead of time. If waitlisted, Fix sends you a text message to let you know there's a ride with your name on it. Purchase single classes at $15 a pop or in multiples. Regulars can even leave their cycling shoes in a personalized cubby.
