New in Delray Beach

New in Delray Beach

September 11th, 2009

The Seagate Hotel & Spa (theseagatehotel.com) in Delray Beach is slated to open in late October and the buzz is definitely on. To fuel my curiosities, I took a sneak peek. Local architect Randall Stofft sets the tone with Old Florida-revival style and Bahamian influences. Very vacation-y. The interior is beach chic to the max with a wave motif behind the reception desk along with sea anemone-like lighting fixtures and fossilized limestone walls. Natural reef aquariums with moray eels and wild lionfish dot the public spaces. There's even going to be a tank full of jellyfish in the Atlantic Grille's bar, aptly named "Jellies."  Of note, hotel guests will have privileges at the exclusive Seagate Beach Club on A1A.  See you at check-in.
