Viva Florida 500: Win Big with the FLORIDA TREASURE HUNT Lottery Game

500 years ago, explorer Ponce de Leon’s real treasure hunt led him the greatest prize we can imagine: the sparkling shores of Florida. (Okay, maybe we’re biased.) Now the Sunshine State’s new lottery game can lead to some pretty big prizes, too. As part of the state's year-long Viva Florida 500 celebration honoring the anniversary of Ponce de Leon's landing, the Florida Lottery has just launched a new game called FLORIDA TREASURE HUNT.

 The $3 scratch-off features a historic map of the state that players navigate by scratching to reveal symbols. Players have a chance to win up to $50,000 instantly, but even if you don’t win big the first time, non-winning tickets can be entered for the Viva Florida 500 Second Chance Promotion online. Here, players can “Discover Florida” by using an interactive map to explore over 300 historical locations, and earn entries for a shot at a 2013 Mazda CX-5, four Florida vacation getaways or $500 cash.
