Daytona Beach Welcomes the London Symphony Orchestra
Every two years, the world-renowned London Symphony Orchestra sets up residence in the birth- place of NASCAR for a couple of weeks to headline the Daytona Beach International Festival. The cultural divide between racing fans and symphony-goers may seem wider than the Atlantic Ocean, but even the LSO musicians were blown away by the high-speed stock-car thrill ride they took around Daytona International Speedway's 2½-mile track.
