The Dark Sky Festival exposes the general public to the marvels of astronomy and the importance of protecting dark skies - not just for astronomy purposes, but also for the values that darkness provides to area wildlife. There will also be science exhibits and demonstrations, a NASA speaker, live music and entertainment.

The Annual Seafood Festival is sponsored by the Homosassa Civic Club and held in November each year in the historic district of Old Homosassa.
Homosassa has been home to many commercial fishermen with its spring-fed river and has been a nationally known sport fishing and recreation area since the mid-1800s.
The art show is judged and non-judged with exhibitors from all over the country. The food court is a well-known attraction of the festival.
