Event Details:
The Sharks Tooth Festival is an annual tradition in Venice each spring, when tooth hunting is in high season. The 2019 celebration marks the event’s 27th anniversary. Each year, fossil collectors from around the Southeast display and sell shark teeth and other prehistoric fossils. In addition, more than 100 artists from around Florida market their original work. Food vendors and live entertainments join the fun, along with kid-friendly events for families.
The Big Attraction
Did you know Venice, FL, is considered the “Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World?” (What? Did you think that’d be saved for Amity Island?) The title is due to the millions of shark teeth that wash up on Venice’s sandy white beaches.
