After the parade, festival-goers can head to the Chiefland Trailhead Park, where the main event takes place.
At the park, visitors will find a wide range of activities to enjoy. One of the highlights of the festival is the watermelon-eating contest, in which participants race to see who can eat a slice of watermelon the fastest. This contest is always a crowd favorite and draws plenty of spectators cheering on the competitors.
In addition to the eating contest, there are other fun competitions and games throughout the day. Festival-goers can participate in a seed-spitting contest, a watermelon rolling race, and even a watermelon carving competition.
