Event Details:
Florida is home to some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, and Coralpalooza is a unique opportunity to celebrate and protect them. This annual event, organized by the Coral Restoration Foundation, brings together divers, scientists, and volunteers from all over the world to participate in coral restoration and education initiatives.
The Coral Restoration Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to restoring coral reefs in Florida and the Caribbean. They achieve this through the propagation and outplanting of coral fragments, as well as through education and outreach initiatives. Coralpalooza is one of the organization’s flagship events, and it is a key part of their mission to protect and restore Florida’s coral reefs.
The event takes place on June 10 this year and is a celebration of all things coral. Participants can sign up to take part in coral restoration dives, where they will learn about coral fragmentation and outplanting techniques. They will also have the opportunity to participate in underwater cleanup efforts and to explore some of Florida’s most stunning coral reefs.
The celebration also includes kayaking, snorkeling, yard games, food and drinks.
