Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo, a posh dude ranch one hour south of Orlando, has been recognized as the top glamping location in the nation, according to the USA Today 10Best 2023 Readers’ Choice Awards. A group of travel industry professionals chose the nominees for the 10Best Awards, and readers voted online to rank glamping locations in a range of product- and service-based categories. Only one Florida vacation spot, Westgate River Ranch, made the top 10.
“Earning the top glamping spot in the country on the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards is an incredible honor, especially since it is earned by the votes of USA Today’s readers,” said Mark Waltrip, chief operating officer of Westgate Resorts. “I am so proud of our talented and dedicated Team Members who work hard each day to create memorable, luxury ranch vacations.”
The largest guy ranch east of the Mississippi River, Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo, specializes in offering a luxurious glamping experience in accommodations like luxurious teepees or, the newest addition to the glamping scene, luxurious Conestoga wagons that can accommodate up to six people comfortably.
At River Ranch, guests can ride horses, swamp buggies, and airboats while decompressing from the stresses of daily life and exploring nature. Archery, fishing, and horseback riding are just a few of the many outdoor activities that are available to visitors. The River Ranch Cattle Company Chophouse & Bar is the newest on-site dining option provided by Westgate River Ranch. It offers a fine-dining steakhouse experience with fresh cuts of beef, along with southern-style meals and an extensive wine and cocktail selection. The 1,200-seat Westgate Rodeo hosts professional bull riders every Saturday. Visit the resort’s official website to learn more about Westgate River Ranch.
“Our Team Members at River Ranch work diligently to provide once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our guests,” said Ray Duncan, general manager of Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo. “To see their efforts being rewarded by USA Today and its readers is phenomenal, and we are thrilled to be representing Central Florida with such a high distinction.”
