After the game, nature-friendly attractions such as the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve and Manatee Park attract fans. Sanibel Island, with its shell-rich beaches, is also just a quick drive away.

Fun Facts:

  • Fans who haven’t visited Hammond Stadium in a while might not recognize the place. A series of renovations over the past several years has increased seating capacity to 9,300, added a parking lot, expanded concourses, renovated the bathrooms and improved the offerings at concession stands.
  • Still hungry after the game? Locals rave about the large portions of seafood at the nearby Shrimp Shack. If smoked meats are your thing, Mission BBQ has baby back ribs and brisket that are almost as famous as its “cheesy potatoes” side dish.
