Beloved by both North and South Carolina fans, the Carolina Panthers enjoyed almost immediate success upon joining the NFL in 1995. They finished their inaugural season with a respectable 7-9 record – the best yet for a start-up franchise – and even made the playoffs in year two.
Since then, the Panthers have enjoyed their rivalries with all their fellow NFC South competitors – the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s not unusual to see the “teal and black” clad fans dotting the stands at any road games they play in neighboring states. So until the next run for a Super Bowl title, here are five items that every Carolina Panthers fan should own.
