The Chiefs are the pride of Kansas City, but did you know they were once the pride of Dallas, Texas? The franchise was born in 1960 as the Dallas Texans of the American Football League. After sharing the Cotton Bowl with the crosstown Dallas Cowboys for three seasons, the Chiefs packed their bags and headed to Kansas City.
The fans in Kansas City have rewarded their hometown team by being among the loudest in the country (regularly dueling with the Seattle Seahawks fans for loudest in the NFL). Lately, the passion has paid off as the Chiefs have become consistent winners on the field.
