If the Dallas Cowboys are “America’s Team” then what should we call the Washington Redskins? Maybe just call them winners. Since their founding in 1983, the Redskins have been one of the most successful franchises in the National Football League. They are one of only five teams to achieve more than 600 victories over the years.
While their mascot and nickname might be controversial, their success in the NFL is not. Despite maintaining very intense rivalries with the Cowboys, New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, the Redskins have three Super Bowls and five overall NFL championships.
While we wait for the next title run, here are four Redskins items that every Washington fan should own.
