This cocktail comes from lead bartender Jillian Cohen at Blackbird Ordinary in Miami. The fresh citrus adds tartness to brighten up the rum while a hint of coconut gives it a tropical layer. This interesting mix is really brought together with a touch of sea salt.

Makes 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
1 1/2 oz. Papa’s Pillar Dark Rum
Muddled ruby red grapefruit wedges
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/4 oz. coconut syrup
3 basil leaves
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
Combine ingredients and top with Fever-Tree tonic water. Serve over ice in a mason jar and garnish with a sprig of basil and half wheel of fresh grapefruit.
