Sloth World, Billed as the World’s First "Slotharium," Slated to Open in Orlando in February
A new animal-focused attraction is set to debut in Orlando in February. Sloth World will open along International Drive, introducing what is being described as the world’s first and only "slotharium."
According to a press release, Sloth World is designed as an immersive, educational experience centered on sloths and their natural behaviors. The attraction will feature carefully curated habitats that allow guests to observe sloths up close while learning about their biology, lifestyle, and the ecosystems they depend on in the wild. The goal is to blend entertainment with education, offering visitors a deeper understanding of these animals in a calm and thoughtfully designed environment.
The experience is intended to appeal to a wide range of visitors, including families, animal enthusiasts, and travelers seeking attractions beyond traditional thrill-based theme parks. By focusing on conservation messaging and responsible wildlife care, Sloth World aims to provide an informative experience that highlights the importance of protecting sloths and their habitats.
“We want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into the sloths’ world—not the other way around,” said Pete Bandre, Vice President of Sloth World. “There are no cages or barriers—you step right into their environment. It’s peaceful, natural and unlike anything else. We want every visitor to walk out with a deeper understanding of how extraordinary these animals are, why their protection matters, and how simple actions can help support sloth populations around the world.”
Sloth World is expected to operate 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, including holidays. Tickets are $49, with presales already underway.
