The Stuart Sailfish Regatta returns to the waters off of the Stuart Causeway in May. The weekend features races held on a 1.1-mile oval course on the northern side of the bridge. Other activities include live music, kid zones and a swimsuit contest. The race is sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association and is open to 10 classes of inboards, four classes of outboards and the Powerboat P1 SuperStock Series. Some of the nation’s top tier racers plus a power team of 12 or more Canadian Grand Prix race boats are expected to be on-hand for the event.
Insider Tip:
Stuart Causeway will close on Friday, May 18, beginning at 6 p.m. and reopen Sunday at 10 p.m. Free parking and shuttles are available at nearby Witham Field (Martin County Airport).
