Details are finally emerging on the eagerly anticipated Minion Land on Illumination Ave., an immersive new area developed in collaboration between Universal’s award-winning creative team and the renowned Illumination filmmakers.

The new zone, which will launch this summer at Universal Orlando, will build on the hugely successful Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction and introduce a new range of activities for visitors of all ages that are drawn from the adored Minions franchise.

Before going on the mayhem that lies down Illumination Ave., guests will first be welcomed by a colorful, photogenic “Minion Land” marquee featuring 22 Minions. Here are some specifics about the experiences that await in Minion Land:

ILLUMINATION’S VILLAIN-CON MINION BLAST: Visitors fight against one another in a fully interactive gaming experience that is so much fun it’s illegal. Here, visitors can prove their wicked prowess. Following that, visitors leave through Evil Stuff, a brand-new store where they can fill up on Villain-Con and Minions goods.

ILLUMINATION’S MINION CAFE: This innovative new restaurant contains three themed areas inspired by the beloved Minions Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto. This immersive new eatery offers that is as appealing as the cafe’s incredible themed surrounds. A kids’ menu is available for the “mini Minions” in the family, and there are nearly 20 dishes on the menu that are creative, family-friendly, and inspired by iconic Minions characters and franchise staples. These dishes include eclectic “despica-bowls” like Otto’s Noodle Bowl, Agnes’s Honeymoon Soup, and Carl’s Crispy Cauliflower (a vegan option), delicious handhelds like the Steak & “Cheese Ray” Sandwich,

BAKE MY DAY: Topped with a huge pink cupcake that can be seen from all over the country, Bake My Day is a whimsical store and bakery that sells a variety of sweets with Minion themes, such as cupcakes, macarons, s’mores, and more, as well as unique Minion-themed goods like clothing, plush, drinkware, accessories, keychains, and more.

POP-A-NANA: Anyone for banana-flavored popcorn? The Minions’ fondness of bananas served at this walk-up restaurant inspired the sweet and salty popcorn. Visitors may also discover a variety of adorable popcorn buckets in this location, including the Minion Selfie bucket.

ILLUMINATION THEATER: Guests can meet, greet and interact with beloved characters like the Minions, Gru, Margo, Edith and Agnes, plus new additions from the hit film “Sing” – Rosita, Gunter and Johnny – at an outdoor Illumination Theater facade.
