Fort Lauderdale Boasts 101 Days of Summer Events

A new campaign shows off everything the region has to offer this summer

Trying to figure out how to spend your summer vacation days in Florida? Visit Fort Lauderdale is lending a hand with a new “101 Days of Summer” campaign that outlines many of the activities offered in the greater Fort Lauderdale area.

The guide features everything from family-friendly options to romantic getaways and includes events between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day.

“We wanted to provide our visitors and locals with a roadmap to relaxation this summer,” said Stacy Ritter, Visit Lauderdale’s President and CEO. “So, whether it’s sunbathing, boating, fishing, shopping or exploring our decadent foodie paradise, our list has something for everyone.”

Highlights include:

  • Enjoy big-name bands, games, arts and crafts, and more at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Fourth of July Spectacular, culminating with fireworks at 8:45 p.m.
  • Scuba dive or snorkel around a living coral reef at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea or in Hollywood Beach – two of the only beaches in the continental U.S. where you can do so right off the beach.
  • Treat your kids to the Funky Fish Ocean Camp.
  • Join the ultimate LGBTQ+ celebration of love, acceptance, equality and inclusivity during the Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival, June 17th, in Wilton Manors.

  • Experience the magic of a full moon kayak tour at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
  • Climb the 175-step spiral staircase in the historic Hillsborough Lighthouse to see an amazing view from its 138-foot top.
