The Tigers have called Lakeland home since 1934 and have played at Joker Marchant Stadium since 1966. But for the 2017 spring season, there will be a new name and new look for the historic stadium. Now named Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, the facility is undergoing a $48 million renovation that will add more air-conditioned spaces for fans, additional concession areas, premium seating and a 360-degree walkway so fans can stroll around the stadium while keeping an eye on the game. Work is expected to be complete before the first spring training game.

- Because Lakeland is halfway between Orlando and Tampa, both metro areas are a quick drive away after a game. Or stay in town and tour the campus of Florida Southern College, featuring buildings designed by the famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Annual events in Lakeland include Lakeland Pigfest and the Sun ‘N Fun Fly-In.
- If you’re craving breakfast before the game, locals rave about Charlie’s Family Restaurant, which is nearly adjacent to Joker Marchant Stadium. If seafood is more your style, consider making reservations at Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grille where the dishes have a New Orleans spin.
