Florida is the nation’s biggest grapefruit-growing state, so it makes sense that this Prohibition-era classic would be named for Florida’s legendary strand. This recipe first appeared in the March 2014 issue of Saveur Magazine.
Makes 1 Cocktail
Ingredients
1 oz. dry vermouth
1 oz. fresh white grapefruit juice
1 oz. blended scotch, such as Johnny Walker
Instructions
Combine vermouth, grapefruit juice, and scotch in a cocktail shaker filled with ice; shake vigorously and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
