It’s been a brutal summer across the United States – particularly in Florida – so we don’t blame you if you already have eyes on vacations in cooler climates for the holiday season.

To help Americans plan their travels over the colder months, WalletHub developed a ranking of the best U.S. destinations that are also the easiest to reach. The report analyzed nearly 70 of the largest metro areas and considered aspects such as flight data, safety indicators and weather predictions.

WalletHub’s report also focused on the cost and convenience of traveling to each location as well as its affordability. It also considered the number of attractions and variety of activities in each destination.
