This winter is about to get warmer as American Airlines continues to grow its footprint at Miami International Airport with seven new domestic routes and one brand-new international destination.

Starting Feb. 3, American will become the only U.S. carrier flying nonstop from Miami to Governor’s Harbour, Bahamas. Service will operate twice weekly on Embraer E175 aircraft, complementing the airline’s winter schedule for the Bahamas that will include up to 14 daily departures to six destinations.

Additionally, the airline will expand its winter schedule from Miami to Latin America and the Caribbean, now including more than 140 peak-day departures to more than 70 destinations, including Liberia, Costa Rica, Cartagena, Colombia, and Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
